Proper planning regarding lawns can lead to better results for those who have used tractors to maintain their lawns.
A recent blog post for the Indianapolis Star noted that there are a number of tips consumers can follow when trying to grow the healthiest lawn possible. Using advice from TruGreen Lawn, the blog noted that people should pick grass seed based upon the characteristics of their yard.
"Where grass if difficult to grow, plant shade-adapted ground cover," the blog said.
While mowing lawns with new or used tractors, homeowners may also consider getting rid of clipping-collection bags attached to their machines. Instead, they may use them to add nutrients to their lawns. Consumers may also consider testing the pH balance of their yard, which will inform them of the type of nutrients it may need.
Having a lawn mower that is in good-working order is also an important aspect of grass maintenance. Experts note that keeping blades sharp will avoid damage to grasses. Others also suggest that consumers mow their lawns at a slower pace so that blades can keep up with their rate of movement.
