To provide more horsepower to customers working in tough conditions, John Deere has updated its 6R Tractor lineup by adding the new 6R140 and 6R165 models. The 6R140 offers up to 140 horsepower, while the 6R165 provides up to 165 horsepower. Both pieces of equipment are ideal for livestock producers who are seeking more power and machine efficiency.
The optional John Deere Loader Technology Package can be added to make it easier to feed livestock or utilize pallet forks. This offering comes with a reconfigurable loader control handle with an integrated reverser. Because of this, operators can customize their preferences and manage the direction of the tractor at the push of a button. Further, with the optional hydraulic pump, cycle times are also improved compared to previous models.
The Dynamic Weighing System (DWS), Level to Horizon (LTH), and Return to Position (RTP) are all a part of the Loader Technology Package. The DWS can handle weigh loads on the go, while the LTH allows operators to level an attachment parallel to the ground, regardless of the terrain. RTP automatically returns the loader to a predefined boom and bucket position.
Operator comfort was also made a priority when Deere designed the 6R Series Tractors. "The 6R Tractor cab provides operators with outstanding visibility and a quiet work environment," said Dennis Ogle, marketing manager for John Deere. "These new tractors continue to deliver premium levels of comfort, convenience, and technology that John Deere customers are accustomed to."
