The Missouri Department of Agriculture announced on Oct. 21 that it has opened registration for the Governor’s Conference on Agriculture, slated to take place between Dec. 16 and 18. The event, which is in its 46th year, will be held in Osage Beach, Mo.
The purpose of the conference is to address Missouri agriculture, as well as how the industry is developing according to current issues. This year will have the theme of “Agriculture: Tell Your Story,” to encourage attendees to discuss their innovations in agriculture.
“Gathering together as an industry each year to discuss current and upcoming opportunities and challenges is critical to the continued success of our industry,” said Richard Fordyce, director of the Missouri Department of Agriculture. “The Governor’s Conference on Agriculture is a long-standing tradition for leaders among Missouri’s producers, agribusinesses and youth to collaboratively learn and share ideas that will enhance the future of Missouri agriculture.”
A number of sessions will be hosted for attendees to discuss topics such as the “State of the Industry,” agriculture in Missouri metro areas, and agricultural energy solutions. Additionally, a dinner will be held on Dec. 17 to raise money for Missouri agriculture’s future leaders.
Individuals who are interested in attending can register online at agriculture.mo.gov. The event is open to the public.
