The John Deere MyMaintenance mobile app was officially rolled out on May 12, providing a new machine maintenance tool to John Deere construction equipment owners and operators.
The app, which can be downloaded for iOS and Android devices, is designed to work exclusively with John Deere machines that have an active JDLink ™ subscription.
Upon downloading the free app, users will be able to view and document maintenance intervals by calendar date or machine engine hours. They can also track maintenance costs for labor or parts.
"The MyMaintenance app gives users a plethora of information at their fingertips, including the ability to view equipment on a map, look at machines nearby, barcode scan a machine to see maintenance plans, access a parts list for maintenance and the ability to keep track of maintenance costs," said Paul Garcia, product manager of John Deere WorkSight ™.
Furthermore, Garcia adds that the app allows managers to hone in on machines that are past due for maintenance, which can increase uptime and performance.
“Repairs can also be documented even for machines not enrolled in a maintenance plan, and documenting a machine's maintenance history can help drive higher residual value,” Garcia said.
JDLink is a telematics solution provided by John Deere. It’s designed to provide users with insight into their machine’s performance via mobile device.
